A's Opening Day Roster 2007

OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Oakland A's today announced that they have optioned left-handed pitcher Brad Halsey to Triple-A Sacramento and designated infielder Antonio Perez for assignment. The A's also selected infielder Todd Walker and outfielder Travis Buck from Sacramento and added them to 25-man roster. Right-handed pitcher Esteban Loaiza was placed on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 25 with spasms in his right trapezius, first baseman Dan Johnson was placed on the 15-day DL retroactive to March 27 with a torn labrum in his left hip and outfielder Mark Kotsay was placed on the 15-day DL retroactive to March 23 following lower back surgery. Infielder Lou Merloni was reassigned to the A's minor league camp.
